As of October 20, 2026, 12 coffee makers we track brew both a full carafe and a single cup, per their makers: models from Hamilton Beach, Ninja, Keurig, OXO, Breville, Fellow and Braun. The Keurig K-Duo Gen 2 is the only one whose maker says it brews K-Cup pods as well as ground coffee; Hamilton Beach says its 2-Way models are not compatible with K-Cup pods, and OXO calls its single-serve function podless. Five have a thermal carafe and five a glass one, six are SCA certified, and the Breville Grind Control is the only one with a built-in grinder.

How do these machines brew a single cup?
It differs by maker. OXO's 8-Cup models use a single-serve brew basket accessory, Fellow's Aiden has a single-serve basket that takes standard #2 cone filters, Braun's MultiServe Plus offers 7 brewing sizes from a single cup to a full 10-cup carafe, and Breville's Grind Control brews into a carafe, tall cups or travel mugs.
